For many years, the Clarkston Farm and Garden Club has funded a naturalist from Indian Springs Metro Park to present an assembly on Michigan mammals to 4th Graders at Clarkston area elementary schools. Students can see and feel the skins, skulls, and skeletons of Michigan mammals, hear about their life cycles, mobility, protective covering, usefulness to the environment and the lifecycle of predators and prey. The information provided in the assembly supports the Clarkston Science curriculum for fourth grade.
